back in the day when you could let your kids play outside without hovering and they were allowed to solve their own spates amongst each other (only 15 years ago) I would tell my boys...don't coming running to me unless their is blood and there had better be a lot of it. They learned so much by solving their own problems and I could be a perfect mother. Love the note...it took me back.
